Beauty | KIKO Makeup Milano REVIEW

Sunday 29 March 2015

A beauty brand that's more than 75% cheaper than MAC makeup and it's quality is equal? Yes please!! Well, I've found the perfect brand for you. Read more to find out more…

KIKO, a brand I'd only recently heard about and then stumbled across on my day trip to London (I Vlogged the entire day - click here). I was super excited to see the shop and to be able to try out the makeup before purchasing (purchasing online isn't the same as purchasing from instore). ALL of their products are super affordable, pigmented and packaged perfectly. Their packaging resembles MAC's a tiny bit and I love that! Some of KIKO's lipsticks are only £2.50 which I think is incredible compared to MAC's £16 lipsticks. It's a no brainer.

I spent £12.80 on 4 KIKO products. If I had have bought almost the exact same in MAC it would have cost me £55. It's pretty obvious which is the better value, but what about quality?

The nail lacquer is amazing. Super pigmented and fast drying. £2.50 and doesn't chip easily, looks glossy (just like I've used a top coat) and two coats is all you need - no base coat or top coat required.

Shade: 288  Price: £2.50

The lipstick is full of glimmer and pigment. I don't usually go for a glimmery lipstick but this one was calling my name. A glossy finish that isn't sticky either and also smells gorgeous!! I absolutely adore this lipstick and totally recommend it to you guys!

Shade: 921  Price: £2.50

The lip liner goes perfectly with the lipstick. They match all of their lipsticks with their liners, which I think is pretty cool! Perfectly pigmented and lasts all day!!

Shade: 714  Price: £1.90

The eyeshadow is packed full of pigment and looks amazing swept over your eyelid with a black cut crease. I might even film a tutorial on my YouTube Channel! For £5.90 this eyeshadow is a bargain.

My new go to subtle smokey eye that isn't too dramatic.

Shade: 40  Price: £5.90

GET THE LOOK:

To create this dewy springtime makeup look I used MAC Face and Body Foundation in N2 with a tiny bit of Tarte's Amazonian Clay Foundation in Light Sand as a concealer and under eye primer. I then used MAC Skinfinish Natural Mineralize Powder in Medium. I then used a matte black eyeshadow to cut crease my eyelid, I then applied my KIKO sphere eyeshadow in the shade 40 and blended together. I lined my lid with L'Oréal's So Couture Super Liner and used L'Oréal's So Couture Mascara on my lashes. I then used a pink blush from a contour kit and then contoured my cheekbones with a contour bronze from the same contour kit/palette (Makeup Revolution or Sleek). I then buffed my face with MAC's powder once more and then I applied the lip liner in 714 and lipstick in 921 by KIKO. I finished off this look by shading in my brows with Soap and Glory's Archery brow pencil in the shade Brownie Points.

Have you tried KIKO before? Will you be investing in some products from KIKO?

  2. KIKO; a brand I'm hearing more and more about in the blogging world. I cannot get over how inexpensive these products are! I totally agree, it's more exciting to buy make-up in store rather than online! I most definitely want to check out this brand - thank you for sharing! xo
