MOSCHINO AT THE MET GALA 2019

Tuesday 7 May 2019

I am a huge fan of both Jeremy Scott and Moschino. When I started writing about high end fashion, Jeremy Scott was newly appointed as the creative director of Moschino, and I covered A LOT of his first collections for various online publications. I adore Jeremy Scott – he is such a fabulous person, who has built up such an amazing legacy. With his own ranges, Adidas, and of course Moschino, Jeremy Scott has paved his own way in the frantic yet fabulous world of fashion and this was apparent last night at the MET Gala...
A star-studded 'pink' carpet saw many high-profiled fashionistas flaunt up and down wearing garments designed by Jeremy Scott for Moschino. From Katy Perry to Kacey Musgraves, and Bella Hadid to Sarah Paulson – each and every star that wore Moschino looked sensational.

First up is Kacey Musgraves. Kacey is one of my favourite country singer/songwriters, and has been for well over a year now. She stunned the crowd as a real life Barbie, which was reminiscent of the Moschino Spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection (one of my personal favourites). With a stunning blonde wig, soft waves, and an abundance of bubblegum pink hues – Kacey looked like she had stepped straight out of the box.

Next up we have Katy Perry, who stunned as a chandelier. In head to toe (or should we say ceiling to toe?) Moschino, Katy sparkled and shone all night long! I adored the creativity of this stunning and elaborate look. The MET is all about making a statement, and what more of a statement is dressing up as a chandelier? I cannot think of a single thing to top that.. well, Katy did! She changed into a Hamburger costume that again, was reminiscent of a past Moschino collection – Scott's debut Moschino collection in fact, the autumn/winter 2014 ready-to-wear collection!

Bella Hadid also marvelled the crowds in Moschino. Bella looked beautiful in a sleek black evening gown which was adorned with gems and ornate cut out sections that flaunted her stunning figure. With a sleek hairdo and emerald green earrings, this outfit was sexy, sultry, yet classic and classy!

Gwen Stefani was accompanied by Jeremy Scott upon arrival. Dressed in a gorgeous white embellished mini dress, and most beautiful fur coat/wrap Gwen was linked onto Jeremy who wore a black suit which was embellished and adorned with similar gems as to what appeared on Gwen's outfit, and Bella's too.

And then for the after party, Gwen and Jeremy linked arms again as they stepped out in full Moschino outfits. Gwen in a stunning sequinned mini dress and over-the-knee boots, while Jeremy wore a hamburger bomber jacket (another nod to his past collection), Moschino tracksuit bottoms, and caramel coloured ankle boots.

Sarah Paulson sported a stunning black long gown that featured a big bow on the front. This sleek and sultry number was in-keeping with Moschino's evening gown style – big, elaborate, and with a classy silhouette that stuns.

And last but not least, my final favourite look from Moschino at the MET... Stella Maxwell in this beautiful figure hugging number. Adorned in silver sparkling stars, this slinky sheer gown paired with a fur shrug looked stunning on Stella. Paired with an ornate headdress, bold eye makeup, and the faces of cute cuddly toys poking out from her shrug – this look has to be one of my ULTIMATE favourite looks from the night!

Moschino NEVER fails to impress me. Jeremy Scott is masterful as ever, and I adore him, and everything he does. Truly inspiring, truly breathtaking, and absolutely fabulous!
